Building a Resume

As a job seeker, it's important to create a resume that includes accurate and pertinent details to allow the recruiter to assess your job application. The following paragraphs outline the crucial factors to keep in mind when creating an ideal resume for the role of a UI Developer.

Personal Information

Personal data can be listed in the header section. This included details such as your name, designation, email id, phone number, etc.

Career Objective

A career objective is a brief statement that appears at the beginning of a resume and outlines the career goals and aspirations of the job seeker. It typically highlights the type of role or industry the job seeker is seeking and the skills or experience they have that make them a good fit for that position.

Example:

5 years of experience as a UI developer with a specialization in Android app development. Enhanced user satisfaction by over 20% by designing applications and addressed browser compatibility issues for Firefox users while meeting tight project deadlines. Seeking to deploy my skills to develop profitable and flawless UI for ABC Systems.

Work Experience

In a resume for UI developer, work experience must be mentioned in reverse chronology. Make sure achievements and skills are quantified to grab the attention of your recruiter. The resume must be tailor-made to suit the job description.

Example:

  • Created a JavaScript and Angular JS-based application to evaluate JSON and XML for RESTful web service.

  • Built front-end web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Successfully addressed compatibility issues across browsers, ensuring smooth functioning on Firefox.

  • Crafted web pages and applications that align with business and user objectives, resulting in an average 20% increase in user satisfaction.

Education

In this section, you simply need to state your degree, university/college, and year of graduation. You can also add extra details like relevant coursework, GPA scores, awards, certifications, etc.

Skills

Mention work-related skills that are relevant to the job description.

Technical skills can include SEO, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Adobe Illustrator, etc.

Soft skills can include problem-solving, interpersonal skills, communication skills, decision-making, etc. and hard skills could include programming skills, web design skills, etc.

Achievements

This section is also very important to resume content. It should highlight examples of how you contributed to their previous employers,

Examples

  • Developed and implemented a new user interface design for a high-traffic e-commerce website, resulting in a 30% increase in sales conversions.

  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to improve website performance and reduce page load times by 40%, resulting in a better user experience and increased customer engagement.

Cover Letter

A cover letter furnishes precise and structured details about your experience. It should consist of your name, contact information, and the employer's name and address, along with the hiring manager's name and designation. By adapting the cover letter's contents and presentation to suit the job criteria, you can improve their likelihood of being shortlisted for an interview.
