Building a resume

To impress a recruiter and increase your chances of getting hired for an Android Developer role, it's important to create a well-crafted resume that includes relevant information. The following sections outline the essential factors to keep in mind when developing a strong and effective resume for this position.

Personal information

This would include your name, email id, contact number, and place of residence.

Resume headline

Write an impressive one-line resume headline that explains what your resume is about.

Example

"Experienced Android Developer with a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly mobile applications"

Career Objective

A career objective is a statement that summarizes a job seeker's professional goals and aspirations for a particular job or career. The purpose of a career objective is to help the employer determine whether a candidate is a good fit for the job.

Example

Dynamic and driven Android developer with 4+ years of experience writing top-notch codes for various businesses. Eager to leverage my skills in Adobe to deliver efficient user experiences. In my internship developed a top-selling mobile app for daily budget tracking that brought in $400K in downloads.

Work Experience

Your resume work experience section can either make or break your dream job. Thus, the resume content for this section must be tailored as per the job offer:

Example:

Skills

Skills are what a recruiter will employ you for, irrespective of years of experience. Highlight critical skills in android development.

Note:

  • Focus on the top 10 skills

  • Avoid adding everything that doesn't fit the role.

It is typically a one-page letter addressed to the hiring manager or recruiter and includes a brief introduction, a summary of your relevant skills and experience, and a statement about why you are interested in the job and how you can contribute to the company.
